Inaugural golf tournament to benefit the bar takings at AMGC
AMGC Saturday 3rd September 2011 – The 'proper' roll up held its
inaugural 3 Club Challenge golf tournament to benefit the bar takings at AMGC. The rules are simple any 3 clubs, a £10 entry and the winner takes home absolutely none of the
cash prize - in fact it will cost the winner extra!
This years winner was Kim Ludlow with a fine effort and 35 points... without a putter! (looking reasonably happy - just before he paid the tab)
"We
are excited to launch this new event, and we have high
hopes for its success,” said self appointed Executive
Director and 'organiser' Thumper Thomson. "It’s a chance to test our skills, support the bar - and laugh at the plonker who wins the jacket!”
For the record that honour went to Clive Piggott who acted as 'trolly dolly' for the afternoon and performed the task so well we suspected he had done it before - well done Clive.
