Being established as an 18 hole course for over a century and currently measuring some 6351 yards, we can boast some of the finest greens in Middlesex that have continued to perplex some of the countries scratch golfers. This was apparent when the Middlesex Country Golf Union selected Ashford Manor Golf Club as the venue for their annual 3-day tournament for juniors who had qualified as a right to play in the latter stages. Whilst the comments from all competitors described the course as fair there were no final scores under par. With the advantage of age the course has matured to offer a quality parkland course to members and visitors alike with tree lined fairways and well bunkered approaches to the greens. With a par of 70 Ashford Manor offers the accurate golfer a challenge to play to their handicap, on a course reputed as one of the quickest drying courses for miles around. The well maintained and drained course practically guarantees all year round play.AN OUTSTANDING COURSE
Ashford Manor is becoming ever more renowned for the quality of its course and being conveniently located just inside the M25, near Heathrow Airport, we are always popular with Societies and visitors. Built on gravel, the course drains well and we enjoy the benefits of this year round, never needing temporary tees or greens.
The Club has invested heavily in the course over the past few years; we started with the services of an agronomist, installed fairway irrigation and followed with the implementation of an extensive woodland management programme. These elements together formed a strong base on which to build the future of our course. Since he joined us in 2004 our Course Manager Gary Kenny has brought together the benefits of the work that had previously been carried out and with his knowledge, skills and talent, he and his team have given us a course of which we can be truly proud. The quality and presentation of this beautiful parkland course is now something our members could only have previously dreamed about.
